Oxygen Conservation added to expanding Impact client portfolio including Planet Mark, Oxfordshire Greentech, Repolywise, CapChar, and re-universe

London, UK – 1st April 2025, Mixology Communications continues to expand its impact portfolio after winning a three-way pitch for Oxygen Conservation, the UK’s leading natural capital management firm.

Oxygen Conservation currently owns 12 estates across England, Scotland, and Wales, where it invests in land to protect and restore natural processes, including native broadleaf woodland creation, peatland restoration, and renewable energy regeneration.

The programme involves media strategy, stakeholder engagement, and content creation to support Oxygen Conservation’s growth in the natural capital economy.

Last year, the London-headquartered PR and content marketing agency also won a competitive pitch involving five agencies for sustainability certification and net zero provider Planet Mark and was behind publicising the launch of the UK’s largest Net Zero census report for business.

Mixology has also extended its relationship with cleantech membership organisation Oxfordshire Greentech for a third year and will launch its second PR Accelerator programme later this Spring to support climate innovation growth within its network.

The PR Accelerator programme received an overwhelming number of applications for brand building, investor relations and growth marketing services in its inaugural year. The first cohort saw Mixology advising three companies:

  • CapChar, a sustainable carbon removal solution via ‘Made-in-the-UK’ biochar production, recognised by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as one of the most promising CO₂ negative emissions technologies and featured on BBC Panorama ‘Can Scientists Save the World?’.
  • Repolywise, founded by Oxford University researchers with a novel recycling technology aimed at tackling the global plastic waste crisis.
  • re-universe, a world-leading technology platform for reuse and recycling, featuring Digital DRS (Deposit Return Scheme) and already trialled at Blenheim Palace, the Eden Project, and Evian’s Rewards4Waste campaign at Wimbledon.

“Over the past 12 months, we have observed a more cautious approach from impact investors. However, with a Labour government now prioritising the green economy and supporting the cleantech corridor between Oxford and Cambridge, we anticipate an increase in deal flows which will accelerate demand for media and content strategy,” said Andrew Laxton, CEO of Mixology Communications.

“We are witnessing significant interest in the circular economy, carbon capture and storage, and biodiversity net gain. Natural capital is a dynamic asset class that is growing rapidly, and we’re excited to be supporting Oxygen Conservation with its growth strategy.”

At the end of last year, Mixology was also brought in to advise Wild Hydrogen, a clean energy company, on a media strategy to support an eight-week crowd funding campaign which ended up being oversubscribed.

“The built environment and clean energy sectors are critical to achieving net zero and promise a substantial secondary market for installation, maintenance, and certification, particularly as the grid looks to decarbonise. This will generate thousands of new jobs and create an urgent demand for green skills training,” added Laxton.
