Krantz Joins Doing Things to Help Expand Original Video Initiatives & Branded Content Slate
New York, April 7, 2025 – Doing Things, the powerhouse behind 40+ owned and operated creator brands—including Overheard, Middle Class Fancy, Recess Therapy, and Bob Does Sports—boasting a combined audience of over 100 million followers, has announced the appointment of popular content creator Jake Krantz as a Creative Director of its newly formed talent and video team. In this role, Krantz will leverage his creative expertise to develop and create original and branded content to drive innovation across the company’s expansive portfolio of the internet’s biggest brands.
With a combined following of 4.5M across platforms and 100M+ combined monthly impressions, Krantz has built a reputation for pioneering short-form comedy and is inspiring today’s new wave of digital comedians with his relatable humor, catchy formats, and knack for tapping into culturally relevant, viral trends. He became an internet phenomenon when his widely popular “You Too” trend garnered nearly one billion impressions across the video series collectively, featuring collaborations with MrBeast and a recreation by Jimmy Fallon x Demi Lovato.
Krantz first collaborated with Doing Things as a creator partner in 2023, contributing to branded content campaigns for major brands such as WK Kellogg’s, Kellanova, The Coca Cola Co. and more. Now joining the team full-time, he will play a key role in shaping Doing Things’ video strategy as the company expands its focus on original series in 2025, as well as helping brands engage audiences through culturally relevant content.
“Last year was Doing Things’ biggest year yet and as we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our teams with creator talent that know how to develop authentic content that engages – both from an audience and brand perspective. Jake is a trend setter who dominates video meme culture and has an unparalleled talent for blending humor and storytelling in ways that resonate deeply with audiences,” said Reid Hailey, CEO of Doing Things. “His creative vision and ability to create content that’s both engaging and shareable make him the perfect addition to our growing talent and video team. We’re excited to see how he’ll help drive our original content initiatives forward.”
“I’m super excited to partner with Doing Things where I will be working with a team of like-minded creatives to engineer new and exciting ways of creating entertainment that will stand out from the crowd,” said Jake Krantz. “The team’s dedication to innovative storytelling and creator empowerment aligns perfectly with my own passion for creating content that entertains and inspires.”
Krantz joins Doing Things at a pivotal moment of rapid growth. In the past year, the company nearly quadrupled its revenue compared to 2021. Krantz’s appointment highlights Doing Things’ continued commitment to fostering a creator-first environment, offering unique opportunities for creators to build their brands and businesses across content, community, and commerce. As Doing Things continues to expand its roster of talent and broaden its content slate, the company’s mission to elevate creator voices remains at the forefront of its strategy.
