There has been some fragility regarding America’s global reputation of late, but how is that volatile perception affecting American brands around the world? New research from MyUS, a shipping company that helps international consumers shop U.S. stores, reveals that online giant Amazon is the most popular U.S. website with international consumers.
Ok, we might have expected the mighty Amazon to endure just fine, but how about other brands? Ralph Lauren, Gap, Carter’s and Nordstrom also top the list, based on MyUS’ 2017 export and shipping data, collected from nearly 500,000 members worldwide, who use its services to ship purchases from U.S.-based stores overseas.
New additions to this year’s list include Funko, Gymboree, Toys “R” Us and The Children’s Place, showing MyUS members are increasingly buying children’s clothes, products and toys from the USA.

The majority of those established brands are based in the USA,” said Ramesh Bulusu, CEO of MyUS, in a news release. “As a result, demand for high-quality products purchased directly from U.S. stores is skyrocketing.”
