The high-stakes campaign for the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA), “Protecting the First Amendment in the Digital Era,” played a critical role in defending free speech and online safety, culminating in a U.S. Supreme Court decision to block controversial content moderation laws in Florida and Texas.

The award-winning campaign was launched in response to a growing threat to First Amendment rights, as both Florida and Texas enacted laws mandating how social media companies must moderate content. Sachs Media spearheaded a three-year effort to educate the public and influence key stakeholders about the dangers these laws posed — not just to free speech, but to online safety, including the potential for delays in removing harmful material such as child pornography and extremist content.
