Kane Communications Group honored with MarCom Awards

Kane Communications Group has been recognized with three 2020 MarCom Awards and three honorable mentions for work with the City of Racine, the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management, Catholic Financial Life, Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division and the Wisconsin Center District.

The MarCom Awards honor excellence in marketing and communications around the world, with more than 6,000 entries from dozens of countries. MarCom honors marketing and communication campaigns while recognizing hard work, creativity and generosity.

Kane received a platinum award, the highest honor in the Crisis Communication Plan or Response category, for its Stay Safe Racine campaign for the City of Racine. The Stay Safe Racine campaign focused on promoting both personal and community health in Racine during the COVID-19 pandemic through TV and radio ads, billboards, digital media and community relations.

Kane also received a platinum award in the Research/Study category, in conjunction with Perceptivity, our research and consumer insights partner, for brand architecture research for Catholic Financial Life. Kane’s research was used to develop brand architecture recommendations based on what prospective customers valued. Kane’s team also worked with senior leadership at Catholic Financial Life to dissect the findings and workshop various brand architecture scenarios to assist with planning future growth.

Kane received a gold award in the Crisis Communication Plan or Response category for the Stay Safe Milwaukee campaign for the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management. This campaign started in May 2020 with the goal to provide life-saving information to residents of Milwaukee County regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign utilized multiple channels to reach diverse audiences, including delivering messages in both Spanish and English.

Kane also received three honorable mentions in the following categories:

  • Client: Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division – Serious Mental Illness Campaign
  • CATEGORY – Media Response
  • Client: Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan – Aspen Center Groundbreaking
  • CATEGORY – Crisis Communication Plan or Response
    Client: Wisconsin Center District – Crisis Communication Plan

Kane previously received recognition through MarCom Awards in 2017, with a platinum award for its nurse recruitment campaign for the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division.
