Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), one of the world’s leading public relations firms, has hired two Managing Directors, Danielle Leach and James Drewer, into its growing Corporate Affairs + Advisory practice.
Danielle is an accomplished corporate communications and public affairs strategist, with 20 years’ experience building the reputation of many of the world’s high impact global brands.
Previously holding senior in-house roles at Google and Ericsson Mobile Commerce, she is a trusted advisor supporting reputation management, corporate positioning, stakeholder engagement, brand building, media strategy, and crisis and issues management. Her agency experience includes WE Communications and APCO Worldwide and she has advised senior leadership at Microsoft, eBay, Danone and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) among others.
James also brings 20 years’ experience delivering public affairs and communications advice to politicians, NGOs and corporate clients.
Previously a Director at C|T Partners, part of Sir Lynton Crosby’s C|T Group, and Managing Partner responsible for public affairs at Maitland/amo, he has advised a wide range of business and political leaders on elections, regulatory affairs, procurement bids, M&A, anti-trust and crisis and issues management. He has also led several award-winning environmental campaigns and advised both the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the United Nations Foundation.
James is an experienced political operator. He was a press officer for David Cameron in 2010 and worked at CCHQ as a press secretary. Previously he worked for the Conservative party until the 2001 election and has provided leadership on election campaigns across the globe.
