Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), international public relations agency, has appointed John Quick as SVP, Healthcare in the US. In his role, Quick will help continue to drive strategy and innovation across H+K’s US health and pharmaceutical clients, with particular focus on product communications throughout the lifecycle.

Quick previously worked at H+K from 2003-2005 when he was Group Director of the New York Healthcare team.

“Throughout my career I’ve always been intrigued by challenges and the evolution from opportunity to outcome,” said Quick. “I’m very pleased to return to H+K where I’ll be able to work with a broad range of clients on building campaigns that will help people make informed health decisions.”

Quick boasts more than 25 years of experience in communications, issues management, relationship building and organizational positioning across pharmaceutical, device and health service verticals, as well as consumer marketing and technology. He was most recently Executive Vice President at Edelman, where he led the Janssen Oncology team and was an active member of Edelman’s Johnson & Johnson global client leadership team. Quick has also worked as a consultant providing short and long-term support at a range of communications agencies, including Weber Shandwick, Golin Harris, Porter Novelli, and DNA Communications.

Richard Millar, H+K Global President and CEO of the Americas, commented, “In this current environment, health has become a significant priority across all industries. The need for sound and credible healthcare communications has never been more profound. John will be a tremendous asset to our US team and I look forward to bringing his thinking to our clients as we expand the breadth and depth of our healthcare business.”

Quick will be based in H+K’s New York office and will report directly to Avra Lorrimer, EVP of H+K New York.
